Meet Pati, a gentle soul with the softest heart and the most polite paw.

Pati was rescued in Turkey as a tiny puppy and raised in a home with cats until the age of two. Then, his life took a quiet turn—he was placed in a dog hotel, where he spent years waiting. Now, finally, he’s in Amsterdam in a loving foster home, discovering how it feels to be part of a family again.

Pati is incredibly affectionate and loves nothing more than being close to his people. He’ll happily share the couch, lean in for pets, and offer his paw like the perfect gentleman he is. He’s house-trained, non-destructive, calm indoors, and quiet—a dream dog in the home.

He adores playing fetch, walks beautifully on leash, and though he’s not a runner, he’s great at following along next to a bike. He’s very smart and food-motivated, making him quick to learn commands and tricks—especially if it ends with treats and praise.

Pati is wonderfully social with other dogs and cats, and he’s also lovely with visitors. He’s friendly and curious, often greeting people with his signature paw. However, he does need space to feel safe. Quick movements, bending down over him, or looming gestures—especially from large men—can make him uncomfortable. But when given room and approached gently, he remains calm and respectful, choosing connection over conflict every time.

Sudden loud noises might startle him, but he recovers quickly and moves on without panic. He’s incredibly resilient. However, vet visits are still very stressful for him, and handling at the clinic needs patience and care. He may urinate or defecate from fear and should be muzzled as a precaution, simply to ensure everyone’s comfort.

He’s also not a fan of getting into cars or public transport, but once inside, he settles quietly. His foster family is helping him practice regularly with positive reinforcement, and he’s already making wonderful progress.

Pati thrives in calm, respectful environments and would do best in a home without small children. He is not aggressive or reactive, but he values his personal space and peace. What he’s truly looking for is someone to bond with deeply—someone he can trust, follow, and give his whole heart to.
